Learning french language from the very scratch as an anglophone person has taught me that determination to speak the language starts within the student and this will translate into going beyond whatever ones teachers might have thought in the classroom. Self learning plays a vital role. Use of textbooks, the internet, there are so many podcast that help me as a teacher to keep learning. I get so many materials for self learning on the Google, on the YouTube as well. A lot of materials are out their on the internet that help me to learn better daily.
Hello! My name is Laura I am a French teacher! Years ago when I started learning French I decided to study but myself. I recommend you to make your own routine for studying bu yourself. And you can include many resources as you want but try to pick those that would help you to stay "motivated" For example you can use Youtube Channels to practice listening! The ones I love the most are: Super Easy French Extra French (Tv series) To learn vocabulary you can try to use apps like: Duolingo Lingodeer To practice conversation I would likely recommend to you to find a tutor only to practice "speaking", you can have as many conversations as you want about your favorite topics. And finally to practice grammar and writing I highly recommend you to use TV5MONDE. It's free, it's funny and it's awesome to learn French!! Hope it helps!!! Hello, Emile! There are several methods of learning a language and each person should use the one that suits them best. Listening to the language regularly is very important! You can listen to French music, podcasts, watch French shows, read magazines and books in French, pick out unfamiliar words, and little by little, you will enrich your vocabulary. Communication is the key to learning any language. It is also important to use adequate textbooks and grammar, through which you will learn to apply the language correctly. Advanced technology today gives you many advantages. There are many online applications that can help you learn, but also online dictionaries, where you can quickly find unfamiliar words. The best one for me is MosaLingua. Also, another interesting way is to compare the translation of a book in the original and the translation of that same book into your mother tongue. La premiere phrase est au passé compose Celle-ci determine une action qui est deja terminee. Tandis que '' je faisais du shopping '' est a l'imparfait. Ceci montre une action qui en cours dans le passé.

I have been trying my best to learn french, of course I am not the best yet, but I am good with reading sometimes, not all of the time. But I cannot understand when people speak to me in french. Any useful tips would be much appreciated. My speaking is sometimes alright, I still struggle finding words as I dont know every single thing just yet.
