While homework plays an important role in the learning process as it keeps students engaged and busy in their free time, it is NOT the ultimate or crucial part of learning. The crucial part of learning is Understanding . In a nutshell, comprehension. . I used to give homework everyday to literally every student I taught. Along the way, I discoverer it was more obligatory than progressive. They did their homework out of will and it became burdensome. Best approach is revision and homework should compliment the purpose of accurate flow of information to suppliment the workframe.

Start testI hate the burden of imposing homework. instead we build a list of things they can do if they have free time. my activities include singing along to selected songs, watching tv clips, reading, writing a 200/500 word report of something. When a student has a conversation with someone in English we'll count that as homework. Many students said they've felt pressure to produce homework for a class and they'd rather miss the class than fail to present homework.
i think homework helps the students not to forget what he or she was learning in that particular day even when he or she is at home.
Not homework per se, but revision of the previous lesson and practice questions, so the student can really understand what they were taught. not just answer questions to please the teacher.
Hello there! In my opinion, homework helps to save time and speed up the process of learning as the tutor only has x amount of time. It also helps the student to practice stress-free and independently which in turn can ignite a lot of good questions within the students. Research and teaching methods at schools have proven homework does help! :)
Definitely, the sooner we practice what we learn, the sooner we can retain & apply that knowledge. As opposed to not practicing, we would mosy likely forget & have to relearn that information.
