Just pray. (: in every situation, my brotherly advice.
Sometimes keeping students motivated and engaged in a virtual environment can be difficult due to distractions and limited personal interaction. I normally use interactive tools like polls, quizzes, breakout rooms, and multimedia content to make lessons dynamic.
My biggest challenge up to date was a student that didn't pay attention. He always told me how bored he was during the lesson, even if we played games and did interactive activities.I contacted the parents, but no change in his behavior. This made me feel inadequate and I dreaded lessons with him.He was later diagnosed with ADHD and that explained a lot.To date he has been one of my best students, although I doubted my abilities for a second. That's just one example, I've had some challenging and rewarding experiences on my Esl journey.

Students who are not engaged or preoccupied with something else while in class. Also, students who feel overwhelmed during a lesson or perhaps they've just had a tough day. Creative games or discussing topics of interest does help to ease their minds and get them engaged.
Students that don't attend their lessons. I overcame it by encouraging them that if they want to be good in their English they must attend their lessons regularly, and now those students are excellent in their English
