I believe enthusiasm is a very necessary quality in a language tutor together with other qualities like being helpful, friendly and accomadating to the student

I assume that a teacher's enthusiasm is extremely important for students ; as it shows how caring is the tutor . However, I believe that being friendly and being someone who intelligently gives amazing advice is a must too . Students are to be considered like your friends ; that's the only way you can win their hearts and therefor, inspire and teach them .

I think one needs to be energetic, expressive and very much playful. Children learn faster when they’re entertained and drawn into the lesson.

Yes, of course enthusiasm or eagerness is important but something more important than this, I believe is Knowledge. And we gain knowledge through reading consistently.
