Actually "kindergarten" is a German word. In English this is spelled like "kidsgarden". But there is no wide abbriviation for this meaning. So it is better to use full word or to tell your friends to use short name "KG"
It has 2 short forms. Kin and KG. You can use both. And I must correct you that abbreviation means full form that you used already. Snd you are looking for short form. i hope you would get it!
Hi dear friend Some european people use kdg as an abbreviation.
You may use grade r or beginners even foundation some say young learners or you could say nursery, pre school, pre k or daycare
Try not to abbreviate especially when your English is not great. I can cause confusion and misunderstanding!
Hi Usman123 In New Zealand & Australia we simply say "Kindy" There are no grades as it not part of a Primary/Elementary school.
Hello Usman123, In the US we tend to just say “kinder” for a shorten spoken word for kindergarten. In written form you can use the letter “K” to fill in for the grade level when discussing what grade your child is currently in or will be entering in the future. Hope this helps!
You can use in conversation kdg
In conversation it would be "Kinder" in written form "KDG" would be used. However the "KDG" is not commonly used unless there is a legend of some sort, otherwise people will have to guess.
Hi Usman123, It totally depends on where you are to be honest. In the US I believe they call it Kindy. If it is a specific year group they may abbreviate it to just K - as in K1. In the UK the most authentic way to describe this period of education is to call it 'Reception'. I hope that helps you. Laura
Kinder :-)) is the most generaly accepted
