I would have to say, Othello. I always had issues with "Thy" and "Good morrow". So reading Othello was a mission until my then-high school teacher translated it to modern English. To this day, Othello is my favourite Shakespeare works.
The Lion King, Big bang theory, Dr House, Sheldon and the series Friends.
I always recommend the two TV series Friends and The Office to my students. Their sense of humor will never make you feel bored :)
Some movies that helped me progress faster include “Forrest Gump” for its clear and simple language, and “The King’s Speech,” which showcases formal and conversational English beautifully.
Pulp Fiction , The Thing , John Carpenters Vampires , Blade , Dogma , The Sopranos , House MD......
There are many movies to choose from to help improve your English and it's important that the student chooses which one they would like but I would choose a family orientated movie like Lion King or Home alone
