All methodologies have their strengths and weaknesses. They all work to a certain extent. A lit depends on the student's learning styles and what methodology the teacher is more comfortable using.

Teach letter formation 3. Teach letter Combination 4. Practice spellings words such as cvc, cv, vc and cvcc words as well as non decodeable words hich are Sight and tricky words. 5. Make it fun by practicing using games like I SPY, Snakes and ladders and read and race. 6. Practice regularly as you will be encounting more challenging words. *I hope this helps one or two students.
