Hi Bakang, its normal and very human to be scared. But the more you practice the better you become. I always keep the 5 Ps in mind: Proper preparation prevents poor performance. Design a lesson or two do to be ready ( or even more), list a couple of questions that you would like to ask the student to get to know them better. Be authentic, be you, no one will do it better than you can. Thats your superpower.
The first lesson is always the most challenging, likely due to the fear of the unknown.(Most of the time the students are just as nervous)However, as time passes and you teach more lessons and meet more students ,that fear gradually fades. I get over the fear by reminding myself that I've done this countless times and I have to remain positive.
prepare as best as you can. then you can just see how it goes. You can do more than that, the more classes you have, the less nervous you will be.

Start testImagine being a comedian and its you first show, you are sweating bullets---hoping the crowd(students) don't see through your act. Here's the secret: FAKE till YOU Make It, baby! Channel your inner most comedian. Attempt a killer intro, keep the vibe light, and if you bomb a joke--err, I mean lesson, you just laugh it off and keep going. Trust me most students are like a good audience. They vibe with your energy more than the perfection. So take a deep breath, BECAUSE, you are the HEADLINE in this stage(classroom).
Keep calm in any situation! Everything takes time to get used to do something new.
Practice! I run through a lesson by myself first, and maybe even do this in front of a mirror. But trust that after you have completed your first couple of lessons, all the nerves will disappear!
