As a teacher, we should be on time for the class, and well-prepared before starting the class. Listen and respond to the student's concerns.
That the tutor is attentive and aware during the lesson. While getting to know each other, the tutor is also active and engaging with the student to encourage dialogue and conversation.
You expect to know your tutor better: For example, is my tutor helpful, supportive, and funny, did I choose the right tutor who is going to make sure I reach my goals?
I guess the tutor must be very patient and sensitive, listen actively to his/her student's needs and try to tailor his/her lesson accordingly. It's a good idea to have some lessons that have been proven to be successful at hand, so he/she can use it promptly. Additionally, the tutor must foster a friendly atmosphere so the student can feel comfortable.
