Hello! My name is Natalie and I am a qualified native Greek teacher offering Greek classes. I prepare the students for the Greek language test (any level), as well as for the citizenship exam. I hold a Master's degree in Linguistics. Moreover, I am a Greek and Russian native speaker. I am also fluent in English. Teaching languages has been my main job and passion for the last 15 years. I enjoy interacting with people from all over the world. In my free time I like to learn new things, to travel and to play the piano. As a teacher who has been teaching since 2008, I can definitely say that there is no such thing as a perfect method because every student has different methods of learning. That's why I combine different techniques according to my students' goals and requirements. I use modern textbooks with engaging and interactive exercises. We do a lot of role-play activities during the lesson and I also use authentic materials because they provide real-life examples of the language actually used in everyday situations. I don't use the textbooks that force my students to sift through loads of rules and exceptions. Many current researches suggest that it's best to learn a new language organically - that is similarly to how we learned our first! We will first focus on grasping basic speaking and listening skills before worrying about grammar. Once you've reached a certain level, the grammar you study will feel much more intuitive. Learning a new language can be challenging and as your teacher I'll be there to help you achieve your goals and make the journey of learning a new language as easy as it's possible.
