I am a TEFL-certified English tutor, having achieved my certification with High Distinction, and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting. I’m also a native of sunny South Africa, a country known for its incredible diversity, with 11 official languages. I speak six of these languages—English, Afrikaans, Setswana, Sotho, Zulu, and Xhosa. In South Africa, being multilingual is a highly valuable skill as it enables us to connect across different cultures and communicate effectively in both professional and informal settings. This experience allows me to understand the challenges of learning a new language and the value of connecting with people through language. I believe it’s never too early or too late to start learning a new language, regardless of your age!
