My name is Leyla. I was raised in Vancouver, Canada. Besides living in Canada when I was a child, I also have lots of experience living and working in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Dominican Republic, as well as in Russia, Germany, and Serbia. I am very responsible, punctual, creative, respectful, enthusiastic, and reliable teacher. I decided to become a teacher because I like to share my knowledge and skills with other people, and also because I like to listen to students. I hold a 4-year university degree of Bachelor in Economics since 2006, major of studies Public Sector Management, where I studied Economics, Law and Politics. I have a CELTA Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Adults/Speakers of Other Languages, which I obtained at the English school of Berlin, in Berlin, Germany in 2015. Besides English, I speak Spanish and Serbian fluently. I would like to help everyone who wants to improve their English language skills through fun and interactive lessons! 1. America Worked at the American University as an English language professor. 4. American-Nicaraguan School, Managua, Nicaragua April 2014 – July 2016 Worked at the American School as an English language teacher 5. Colegio Teresiano, Managua, Nicaragua August 2014 – June 2015 Social Studies Professor Worked in a high school as a professor of Social Studies. 6. 321 Talk, school for foreign languages, Novi Sad September 2002. – July 2005 English Teacher Taught courses of English language such as TOEFL, Business English, FCE, and IELTS to groups and held individual lessons. My lessons are focused on all skills which students need to develop such as speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar. The accent in my lessons is mostly on speaking but I also explain grammar very clearly and I make sure that students use all vocabulary and grammar they learned in their speech accurately and appropriately.
