Jelena Skudra

Hello! My name is Jelena. I was born in Latvia, a small country east of Europe, but I lived in the UK most of my life. I went to school here and graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020. I grew passionate about learning languages, and currently, I speak fluent English and Russian, and I'm learning/importing my Latvian, Ukrainian and Spanish. In the five years of teaching English as a foreign language, I worked both online and offline. For a few years, I taught online lessons for a language school. I also worked offline in a private school in Latvia. I have a TEFL Certificate, accredited in the UK. I do my best to make lessons interesting and bear in mind the interests of my students. I prefer the communicative approach and focus on helping learners to feel confident to speak English and not just study grammar. Although it is important for speaking correctly :)
