Hannah Staton

I was born and raised in Thailand and lived there for the first 17 years of my life before moving to the U.S. to graduate with a BFA Degree in Dance and Minor in Arts Entrepreneurship. I am fluent in both English and Thai and would love to help you meet your language learning goals! I have been tutoring students to improve their English and Thai skills in speaking, reading, and writing and with their homework on and off for a total of 5 years through various volunteer work opportunities, specifically in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, and in the villages of Northern Thailand. Students can expect learning English or Thai through exploring a progression of various themes, which include introducing vocabulary, followed by sentence structure and applying comprehension through short stories and answering questions. Some broad themes to expect would be exploring language around greetings and introducing oneself, occupation, health and well-being, mode of transportation, weather, religion, animals, and family structures. I will give a series of exercises for students to complete on their own and after completion, we will review and walk through the exercises together to grow and solidify in comprehension. I am willing to adjust the level of difficulty in my topical lessons, in order to help meet the student's language goals, depending on what level the student is currently at.
