Hello, my name is Dorcas, and I am from Zimbabwe. In my spare time, I like to read novels, do some gardening, go out with friends and once a month l do some charity work at our local orphanage. Being a mother, am a very patient person and I love children and their inquisitive nature.
I have been a teacher for five years and I hold a 120-hour TEFL Certificate, and a Bachelor of Arts dual honors degree in English and history, and am currently studying for a master's degree in English. I have taught primary and lower secondary school students. Through this experience, l have learned to appreciate all levels and how best to approach each learner when facing difficulties or excelling
My teaching styles include an interactive, learner-centered approach. I emphasize active participation and collaboration among my students, allowing them to take charge of their learning. In my interactive classroom, I facilitate discussions, group activities, and hands-on projects that encourage students to explore concepts and express their ideas. By fostering a supportive environment where my students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and asking questions, I enhance their engagement and promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This approach helps my students develop a deeper understanding of the material while building their confidence and social skills.
