Let's get acquainted! My name is Daria. I have been an online tutor for over 5 years. I live in Belarus. But online classes allow me to work with students from many other countries. I love to travel (I have visited over 10 countries so far), communicate with new people (because I am very flexible in communication and can find a common language with anyone), learn new facets of English (especially while watching movies or TV series). And in my free time, I maintain pages on social networks, where I also share useful information. 1. Graduated from the university with a degree in Linguist. Teacher of two foreign languages (English, German). Was invited to an online English school while still a student. 2. I work with children aged 8-9 (3rd grade) and teenagers. 3. In addition to my diploma, I regularly take advanced training courses in various areas. I independently study the emergence of new methods and techniques for teaching children and teenagers. 4. I have already helped more than 30 students achieve their goals. [see cases in the feed] In teaching, I support the communicative method. I consider a lesson to be successful when the student speaks much more than me. I introduce grammar and vocabulary unnoticeably using sentences/texts, visual aids, comparisons, and even gestures. I devote a lot of time to practicing skills, which allows for 100% assimilation of information. I use only authentic audio and video materials in my lessons. Classes for primary school children consist of a lot of visual aids, games, and audio examples. Therefore, at the end of the lesson, the phrase has become habitual for me: “Is that all? I didn’t even notice how time flew by!” I keep in touch with parents: I introduce them to my successes and achieved results, and tell them about the upcoming work.
