I am Seun, a Nigerian from the Yoruba tribe. For over 7 years, I have taught English Language and Literature lessons to elementary, middle and high school students. In the course of teaching, I have been privileged to teach kids with special needs like autism and ADHD, and it has been a beautiful experience.
I am also a freelance writer, with a background in proofreading. I enjoy reading novels, writing poems and watching movies. I like movies that feel like true-life stories. I love to play scrabble.
I have a Bachelor's degree in English Education and a Master's degree in English Langauge. I obtained my B.A. (Ed.) in 2012 and my M.A. in 2018. I am also a certified TEFL teacher, that is, Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
Teaching gives me life, it keeps my brain alert and it is fun. My classes are usually interactive, and I expect active participation in classroom discussions from my students.
In my class, I hope to have a respectful and cordial student-teacher relationship. I shall listen and respond to students' concerns. I also expect to cultivate their passion for learning by giving and receiving constructive criticisms and feedback on their work. I also hope that I can be an inspiration to them and affirm the fact that they can achieve their goals. I constantly learn from students because learning never stops.
Students will be glad to have me as their teacher.
