I was born and raised in USA to Egyptian Parents and now reside in Egypt. My interest in becoming a teacher happened when I came to Egypt and I had seen people were being taught English incorrectly in schools and couldn't even hold a conversation with a native American speaker despite after spending years in American schools and universities and it was mainly because the teacher they were being aught by didn't have an American accent. So, I have made it my passion to become a certified TEFL teacher and teach people American English the correct way.
I have taught countless ESL students online and off line around the world for the t 10 years and I am TEFL certified and speak with an American accent
Through my experience as an ESL teacher, I have found the most effective method to teach conversational English is the TPR(total physical response) method, In this method we use English only through pictures and illustrations. There are no grammar rules being taught in this method. The way to learn to CONVERSATE and SPEAK in a language is to consonantly USE IT. You should only worry about grammar rules once you have became proficient in the language. Think about it. How did you learn your own language? Was through knowing the grammar rules of your language or was it through using it and conversating with your friends and family in your country? It was most likely through conversating with friends and family, and that is the TPR method.
